Bucky Heard’s “My Best Days” Inspires Listeners to Keep Looking Forward

Date:

Bucky Heard, best known as one half of the iconic Righteous Brothers (“Unchained Melody,” “You’ve Lost That Lovin’ Feeling”), steps confidently into the solo spotlight with his newest single, “My Best Days.” It’s a song that radiates optimism and resilience, reminding listeners that life’s greatest moments are still ahead.

“There’s a whole lotta world out there that I can’t wait to see, and my best days are ahead of me,” Heard sings with conviction, capturing the spirit of hope and perseverance that defines his artistry.

A Sound That Bridges Generations

“My Best Days” feels both nostalgic and timeless. Its melody and production carry a refreshing late ‘80s to early ‘90s feel, that’s full of warmth, bright guitars, and soulful vocals. Heard’s voice, often described as “the soulful grittiness of Bob Seger and the soaring range of Steve Perry,” shines with emotional depth and seasoned precision.

The song, written by Nashville Songwriter Hall of Fame member Kent Blazy (“If Tomorrow Never Comes,” “Ain’t Goin’ Down [’Til the Sun Comes Up]”) and hitmaker Marv Green (“Amazed” – Lonestar), is an anthem for staying positive and embracing the journey ahead. It was produced by legendary Nashville producer Bob Bullock, whose credits include Shania Twain, Reba, George Strait, Keith Urban, and REO Speedwagon.

Backed by an all-star cast of Nashville’s finest session musicians, the track blends rock, country, and soul into a feel-good anthem that encourages listeners to live life fully and revisit old dreams with new energy.

A Voice with History and also a Future

An Alabama native and Auburn University graduate, Heard has built an impressive career spanning clubs, theaters, and world stages. In 2016, his life changed forever when Rock and Roll Hall of Fame icon Bill Medley hand-picked him to join The Righteous Brothers. Heard’s youthful energy and powerhouse voice have helped breathe new life into the legendary group, now on their farewell tour.

With “My Best Days,” Bucky Heard proves that his solo journey is just beginning and that his passion for music and inspiring others is stronger than ever.

“Soulful lyrics and an uplifting melody line drive home the message that age ain’t nothing but a number, so just keep being the best you that you can be,” says Heard. “Now, live it up my friends, and revisit that dream!”
