Wrestling Legend Hulk Hogan Dies at 71 Following Cardiac Arrest

Pro wrestling and entertainment icon Hulk Hogan has died at the age of 71.

According to multiple confirmed reports, the wrestling Hall of Famer passed away today in Clearwater, Florida after suffering a sudden cardiac arrest. Hogan was at his residence at the time of the incident. Emergency services were called, but efforts to revive him were unsuccessful.

The larger-than-life superstar rose to fame in the 1980s and quickly became one of the most recognizable names in the history of professional wrestling. Known for his handlebar mustache, bandanas, and trademark red-and-yellow gear, Hogan’s influence went far beyond the ring. He headlined countless WrestleMania events, starred in films such as Rocky III, and helped usher in a new era of pop culture crossover for athletes.

Fans around the world knew him not just for his charisma and iconic catchphrases like “Whatcha gonna do when Hulkamania runs wild on you?”, but for the way he inspired generations to believe in strength, perseverance, and “saying your prayers and taking your vitamins.”

In recent years, Hogan had undergone multiple surgeries, including major neck surgery earlier this year. His wife, Sky Daily Hogan, had publicly expressed optimism about his recovery, noting he was in high spirits and remained active despite health setbacks.

Tributes from across the wrestling world and Hollywood have already begun to pour in, with many remembering Hogan as a pioneer, a trailblazer, and a true legend in the business. WWE released a brief statement mourning the loss, calling him “one of the most impactful performers of all time.”

Hogan is survived by his wife Sky and two children, Brooke and Nick. Funeral and memorial arrangements have not yet been announced.

The world has lost a true icon. Rest in peace, Hulk Hogan. Thank you for the memories, the inspiration, and the legacy you leave behind.
